Michael Hadley

Regardless of country or continent, food and wine are always on Michael’s mind. In 1995 he became an accidental restaurateur. It was in his early years in Singapore where he discovered that the Singapore dining scene was dominated by large hotels with restaurants that lacked variety while the mid to lower level of dining made for an unfulfilled palate.

Always passionate about food and wine, an idea sparked within. Michael believed that a commitment to customer service excellence in addition to the use of the highest quality ingredients and innovative Italian menus would be a recipe for success. With his vision to modernize the Singapore dining scene he established his first Italian  restaurant, Michelangelo’s. 

Michelangelo’s  true passion is in the bottle, the wine bottle that is. Michelangelo’s award winning wine list as comprehensive as it is reasonably priced. Arguably Asia’s best wine program, the same dedication and passion goes into every selection. The acclaimed Wine Spectator Magazine has perennially awarded his restaurants with their Best of Excellence Award something very few Singapore restaurants have achieved to date.

The Restaurant

Founded in 1995, Michelangelo’s remains one of Singapore’s premier dining destinations boasting equal measures of exceptional quality and affordability in Italian cuisine. Ambience, personal attention, and great service melded with an innovative menu are the cornerstones of this iconic restaurant. Presenting an intriguing mix of client favorites, Italian classics and an offering of custom designed meals created daily makes for an irresistible experience.
Since its’ quiet opening, Michelangelo’s prides itself with a menu inspired by the feedback of dedicated patrons. Every guest is greeted and served by enthusiastic and dedicated servers with their culinary desires carefully considered by the restaurant’s Culinary team. In addition, the restaurant’s award winning wine list is as comprehensive as it is reasonably priced. When a gentle suggestion is needed for a wine selection, our trained sommelier and service team are on hand to guide diners to the right balance of taste preference and budgetary considerations.
As a true icon in Singapore’s dining history, Michelangelo’s has been the recipient of both internationally acclaimed and prestigious dining industry awards. Perennially listed in Singapore Tatler’s and Wine and Dine Magazines’ Top 100 Restaurants. Michelangelo’s has also been internationally recognized by Wine Spectator magazine and the recipient of its “Best Award of Excellence” since 1996.
